Jean-Marc Goossens’s father, Albert Borschette—considered as one of the founding fathers of the European Union, Ambassador of Luxembourg in Belgium—ended his career as European Competition Commissioner.

Mr. Goossens studied at the European School of Brussels. He speaks English, French, German, and Dutch. After graduating as a Master of Laws at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and at the Université Catholique de Louvain-La-Neuve, Mr. Goossens became a member of the Bar of Brussels in 1988 and has been ever since. He started his career as trainee and coworker of attorney Armand de Decker, President of the Belgian Senate. From the very beginning of his career as a barrister, Mr. Goossens pleaded in lawsuits that are among the most famous of the present-day history of Belgium, such as the case Binet regarding international espionage as well as the case of the terrorists of the Cellules Communistes Combattantes. Mr. Goossens also was the legal and financial adviser of famous golf, tennis and Formula 1 sportsmen, whom he accompanied all over the world. As creator of the international fiscal and legal newsletter “Business & Fisc,” Mr. Goossens published numerous articles and studies on international financial, fiscal, and investment subjects in the first-ever Belgian financial newspaper in French, L’Echo de la Bourse. As a lawyer, Mr. Goossens has an international clientele.

In 2013, he opened a new office in Beijing. Mr. Goossens is considered in Europe as one of the most renowned experts in U.S. real estate. His numerous articles and studies have made him a reference in the matter. The business lawyer is frequently quoted in both the Belgian and international press.

Manuel Molina

Manuel Molina has a degree in industrial engineering as well as a Bachelor in finance from the Université Catholique de Louvain-La-Neuve (Belgium). He started his career working for a Belgian telecommunication company as South Europe Sales Manager and then became the Managing Director for the U.S. and Latin America markets.

In 2004, he cofounded an investment bank boutique; Molina & Lynch Consulting,with offices in New York City and Miami. The company specializes in M&A opportunities between Europe and the United States. He is currently a managing member of a consulting company that is active in the energy sector. Manuel has been appointed as the Honorary Consul of Belgium for the state of Florida since 2004. Manuel is fluent in French, German, Spanish and English.

 

Alain Liebaert

Alain Liebaert studied applied economics at the University of Antwerp. He then did a postgraduate in Creative Problem solving Techniques in 1988 and is still organizing Creative Seminars today. Alain started his career as a management consultant, restructuring companies on a “no cure no pay” basis. In 1990 he joined the Liebaert family textiles business (www.liebaert.com) and became CEO in 1997. Alain is also a part time Airline pilot and flies business jets both for work and for fun all over the world. In 2005 Alain and his wife Michou started Socrates Projects, specialized in organizing exclusive tailor made holidays with private airplanes.

Socrates also invested in a Boutique Hotel in Cape Town (www.granddaddy.co.za) and a five star lodge (Jacis lodges) in the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa (www.madikwe.com). Alain has travelled extensively in South and North America and Africa looking for investment projects in real estate.
